Here is a list of February Indian festivals and fairs that you can enjoy with your friends and family. The air is still cool and the overall atmosphere is one of fun and happiness.

  1. Surajkund Festival

If you are in Delhi or Gurgaon or Faridabad at this moment, then you should make a straight dash to the International Crafts Mela at Surajkund. Surround yourself with folk music and dance, authentic Indian street food, and amazing handicrafts.Surajkund is located in Faridabad district of Haryana. This year, this festival would be on till February 14.

How to reach- Take the Delhi Metro and get off at the Badkhal Metro Station. From there, you can take an auto to reach the venue. Save on fuel, save the environment.

Tickets- INR 120 per person.


2. Kila Raipur Sports Festival

This is one of the most exciting February Indian festivals and fairs. Organized 15 kilometers south of Ludhiana in Punjab, this fair is known for a nail-biting bullock cart race. Other exciting events include lifting bicycles by teeth, jumping on fire and getting out of it, tractor race, pulling a car with the help of one’s hair and other crazy stunts.

Dates- February 2-4, 2018

How to reach- The best way to reach the venue is by taking a train. There are several dharamshalas in Raipur so staying is no problem.

3. Kala Ghoda Art Festival

Mumbai is not that much known for cultural events but the Kala Ghoda Art Festival rescues the city to some extent. If you are an art aficionado, then this fest will take your breath away. Organized in the Kala Ghoda Arts Campus, this fair is all about art and craft, music, cultural events and also heritage walks. Bring your children to this event and recharge your emotional batteries.

Dates- February 3-11


4. Nagaur Festival

Not many know about this Rajasthan festival. Held in Nagaur city of Rajasthan, this fair is a treat for the first time India travelers. Folk music, animal performances, food festivals, Mehendi competitions and many other activities make this festival interesting.

Dates- Feb 22- 25

How to reach- Nagaur is easily accessible from Jaipur and Jodhpur. You will have to take a cab to reach this city.

5. Khajuraho Dance Festival

This is the time of the year when travelers to India can not only visit the temple town of Khajuraho, they can also appreciate Indian classical dance and music. Entry to this six-day festival is free.

Dates- February 20-26

How to reach- The closest airport is Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh, so you don’t have to worry about connectivity.
